Recently reclassified as Dracaena, this is a cultivated variety of Dracaena trifasciata that displays iconic dark green horizontal stripes along the entire leaf blade. With the species originating from West Africa, with a range from Nigeria to the Congo - it proves to be one of the most resilient houseplants in cultivation.
Dracaena trifasciata 'Zeylanica' can take a variety of lighting conditions, including dramatically low light to full sun. It prefers high temps and a gritty, well-draining soil mix. This plant has no humidity concerns and likes to get BONE dry in between waterings. If it's in less-than-ideal lighting, we recommend aiming for about once a month, with watering at most.
It may need to be repotted in 6 months to a year.
